As a professional PCBA sampling manufacturer, we often encounter some customers who cannot provide complete processing data when communicating with them. Although most manufacturers can supplement the incomplete data, this will delay the normal processing time. Therefore, if complete processing data can be provided before processing, the manufacturers will be very convenient and can quickly start production. So, what production data do we need to provide when conducting PCBA sampling?
1、 Gerber file;
Gerber files are files exported from PCB files, which contain document information such as circuit board layer, solder mask layer, steel mesh layer, and pad layer. In the actual processing and production process, Gerber data is not only used to make SMT steel mesh, but also to make SMT programs. Usually, Gerber data is also needed for PCB quotation and SMT processing quotation.
2、 BOM list;
The BOM list, also known as the material list, is a standard document for incoming inspection and production procedures. It records all electronic materials that need to be used in processing, including brand, model, quantity, and other information. The electronic components used on the entire PCBA board will be reflected in the BOM list. It should be noted that if there are any changes in the brand, model, or other information of the materials in the future, they also need to be indicated on the BOM list.
3、 Other documents;
Other files are also indispensable, such as coordinate files: Coordinate files are files that provide the position of soldering components and also need to include the PCB origin point; Location map file: The location map file is mainly used to verify whether the position of the component during installation is accurate. Testing guidance file: Testing guidance file is generally provided by the customer, which includes guidance and technical requirements for the professional parameters required by the customer for testing.
